Brief
Innova helps drivers stay informed about their driving habits and vehicle health through real-time insights. I worked with them to redesign their mobile app, adding features like trip data analytics, critical driving alerts, and Waze integration for smarter route planning. We also created a clean UI and a detailed PDF report, giving users actionable insights to improve performance on and off the road.

The Challenge
The main challenge was to transform Innova’s mobile app into a more insightful and user-friendly tool that empowered drivers to improve their habits and monitor vehicle health in real-time. We needed to integrate detailed trip data, driving behavior analytics, and third-party tools like Waze, without cluttering the interface or overwhelming users with too much information. Balancing rich, actionable insights with a clean, intuitive design was key to making the app both functional and easy to use for drivers of all experience levels.

Integrating real-time driving stats and Waze SDK functionality required designing around live data, with a focus on smooth interactions and minimal distractions while driving.
Balancing Information Depth with Simplicity
We carefully balanced detailed analytics with a streamlined experience, presenting rich trip and vehicle data without overwhelming the user, using progressive disclosure and focused summaries.
Integrating Complex Trip Data Seamlessly
We restructured the UI with a clear hierarchy, using a card-based layout to break trip data into digestible sections like distance, duration, and driving score. Color-coding helped separate data types visually, making key insights easy to scan without overwhelming the user.
Accurate and Actionable Driving Reports
A real-time algorithm processed sensor data to ensure driving reports were precise and timely, with driving scores prominently displayed and detailed breakdowns accessible on tap, helping users quickly spot areas for improvement.
The home dashboard balances detailed trip insights with crucial vehicle diagnostics, ensuring that users are well-informed about both their driving habits and vehicle status.
Vehicle Health section emphasizes ease of use, allowing users to view and plan for their car’s maintenance needs at a glance.
